Talking about your book

What book/poem/story is your partner reading?
Does the book sound like something you would like to read? Why yes or no?
What are some similarities between your two books?
What connections can you make between the human experience in your book and the human experience of the two and a half books we have read for class?

Bell Ringer: Discuss: How do we see the idea of Elie’s faith or loss of faith in the section you read? Be specific explaining what he’s feeling now. (question from yesterday’s reading)
Questions on the beginning of chapter 5 (66-72)
Rosh Hashanah = Jewish New Year = September.  What was the New Year’s ‘gift’ given to the prisoners? Explain what it is.
