You and your partner need to make a venn diagram of the experiences of the two Holocaust survivors that we are reading. You should have at least five similarities and five differences. You then have a few choices: you can create the diagram on google drive and share it with me, take a picture of it (with your phone) and email it to me, somehow get me a visual of your diagram in a different way. You then need to discuss why we read multiple accounts and what he meant by extermination camp, and post your answers to that as comments to this post.

ReplyDeleteThe purpose of reading different accounts is to get different perspectives of the event from someone else's eyes. It will show different details, not everyone sees the same thing. Others can be more particular with what they accept and chose tot see it may vary person to person.
ReplyDeleteit helps with the description of the concentration camps and give more in depth information due to we see it from different viewpoints. HE meant that the nazi's tried to exterminate the jews
ReplyDeletetheir faith and who they are as persons
Deletethe purpose was that we would get a better description of what it looks likes like cause one person might have seen more and also people have different views on things. matt/bubba
ReplyDeleteit means that everything that belongs to you or that you greatly value is taken away from you in a heart beat. when you get everything you greatly value taken away you just pretty much give up and lose all hope in what you were fighting for
DeleteExtermination camp means the Nazis will take away everything from the Jews and make them a "nobody" they don't have a say in anything and are supposed to do what they are told and not ask questions. Also means death, Nazis will kill try and kill all the Jewish people because they are stripped of their identity and treated like animals.
ReplyDeleteDEGRADED THEM MADE THEM FEEL LIKE ANIMALS. MADE THEM NOT WANT TO LIVE THERE FOR EASIER TO KILL.ʎǝsɐɔ-uıʌɐb-ɥɐou
ReplyDeleteCompare both sides and to know what is real because people have a tendency to over exaggerate.
ReplyDeleteWe believe to exterminate means to kill in two ways one by death and one by killing what you stand for.
To see other peoples view points to get a better understanding of the concentration camps.
ReplyDeleteWe read multiple accounts to get an even better understanding, because one person's account could be a bit dramatic. If you have two accounts that say similar things, then you'll better understand just how horrific the Holocaust was.
ReplyDeleteWe believe that extermination camps have a double meaning. Not only were people physically exterminated and killed, but they were also exterminated of everything they have. They were exterminated of their friends and family, all of their possessions, and even of their own name.
Katie and Autumn.
People have different experiences of the Holocaust, depending on what age they were, how long they were in their, and who they were. The Holocaust didn't have the same affect on everybody.
