Holocaust Inquiry Interview

A basic overview of the research interview assignment:

You are creating a visual aid to assist your interview.  You should have information that would fill at least 15 'slides' (actual slides if you are making a slide presentation or the amount of info that would go on one if you are making a different type of visual aid).

Deeper understanding through images, videos, statistics, maps, facts found online or in other texts (this understanding will be shown to me through the things that you share with me during the 'interview')
Things connected specifically to Elie’s experience and details in the book
Impact of the Holocaust and specifics from the book on today (survivors, denial, days of remembrance, other things happening in the world now or past that are similar)
You will be explaining to me how each image or video or piece of evidence in your visual aid gives you a deeper understanding or shows the impact of the Holocaust.  You will be connecting what you have to specific parts of the book.
Elie’s family was put into a ghetto, here’s what a ghetto looked like

Elie worked in Buna –one of the camps of the Auschwitz system, here’s a map of the Auschwitz compound
