Immature people only want to do one noble thing in their lives and then get recognition for it. Mature people want to do great things throughout their lives without needing recognition for it.

ReplyDeleteThe immature man just dreams, he dreams of something to big for himself and never something reachable, the mature man is always humble is realistic and people like him because he doesn't show off and achieves.

As for Mr Antolini quote Holden wasn't really understanding what it meant.

Mr. Antolini means by what he said that if you are mature you wanna be humble and living life one step at a time. One important thing that the quote means is that a humble man has something to life for as were a noble man really doesn't. Three interesting points were if you are immature you like to goof around. Holden is both mature and immature on how he acts.You can have fun being mature but can't have to much because you have a family you have to be apart of.

Quote meaning: Once you die you no longer can fight for anything. When someone lives for one cause they are more likely to make things happen.
ReplyDelete1. Maturity growing up over the years like an example is a younger child would not be as mature as a High school student. In high school you should know how to act mature. Also respecting other people including yourself.
2. Immature is not taking serious things seriously or making fun of other people and not respecting them.
3. Holden is both immature and mature because he is mature around kids and he respects women but he can be immature with people his age.
The quote by Mr. Antolini means that a mature man lives for many things while the immature man lives for one thing. This means that the immature man lives for one thing and a mature man lives for several things.
ReplyDeleteMy group thinks that Holden is immature and mature at the same time, because he is in depended but yet he couldn't careless. Being mature means that you make good choices, acting your age, and being morally right.

We all agreed that the quote means, an immature man is the first to give up, and want to be remembered. A mature man will keep fighting for their goal, knows they did something productive with their life.
ReplyDeleteHolden is immature in ways, where he makes decisions for himself. He doesn't care who gets hurt, hes going to keep doing what he's doing. An immature person, doesn't know when to draw the line. Immature people don't know how to handle a situation, in the best way. The difference of a mature person wants to achieve the future they want, they make smart choices, that don't affect the people they care about.
